The people of Moropocay and Puerto Grande are in desperate need of dental attention. Dr. Len Jensen is a faithful member of the KHISH team every year and sponsored for four years the participation of a senior dental student from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry, where he is a professor. Since her graduation from dental school, Dr. Laurel Lee of Ontario, Canada, who joined KHISH initially as one of Dr. Jensen’s students, has joined the dental brigade each year.

The dental team works under very primitive conditions in Puerto Grande, Moropocay, Las Crucitas, and Juan Orlando. The only dental treatment they have been able to render to date is the extraction of badly decayed and painful teeth for both adults and children. KHISH provides toothbrushes and toothpaste to each person in both the dental and medical clinics every year.
